Mhairi Bowe answered on 18 Mar 2020:

Behaviour is often more the result of emotions, experiences, and social context than conditions. Lack of resources, activity and esteem don’t help and personal emotions like fear, need for status, and frustration can also have an impact. It is useful to look at the individual holistically (their experiences, their emotions, their settings, and their biology – the whole of them) to try to understand and ultimately help reduce the behaviours.
