I can only speak about the personal experience of close relatives here since I’m not a clinical psychologist. But I’ve seen it dramatically affecting people’s lives so that they no longer want to leave the house. Thankfully there is lots of support and I’ve seen relatives dramatically improve through the use of medication and therapy. Speak to your doctor if you are personally affected by this to see what help is available.

Anxiety is a serious mental health condition. It can affect their day to day lives, and in some cases people might not leave the house. People with anxiety often also have depression – they tend to go together. We also know that depression can be a risk factor for suicide, so treating these conditions is super important
